“Sandip” is a Sanskrit word that means “pure flame”. With this pure flame of education, a visionary educationalist, Dr. Sandip N. Jha established Sandip Foundation (SF) in 2008 near the holy city of Nashik over sprawling lush green campus of 250+ acres. Also, SF has expanded its horizon with a second campus in Madhubani, Bihar, spread over a 60+ acres. With the mission of imparting in-depth technical knowledge and instilling social as well as cultural values, Sandip Foundation (SF) has been illuminating lives through education over the last one decade. Our active contributions towards the realms of Engineering, Management, Science, Arts, Pharmacy and Polytechnic studies have helped to shape many successful careers.
There are five colleges under the flagship of SF in the Nashik campus which are always ranked as the best colleges in Maharashtra. All colleges are approved by AICTE, New Delhi (GoI). The colleges running diploma courses are affiliated to Board of Technical Education (BTE), Maharashtra whereas the degree colleges have affiliation with Savitirbai Phule Pune University, Pune (SPPU) which is recognized as Oxford of the East.

Sandip Institute of Technology and Research Centre (SITRC) is a pioneer technical institute established, under the umbrella of SF in 2008 in Nashik campus. The institute is approved by AICTE, New Delhi (GoI) and affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. The institute is an ISO 9001:2008 Certified which is a symbol of quality management system.
Sandip University, Nashik (SUN) is the premier private university in Northern Maharashtra established under the aegis of Sandip Foundation. The University is ratified as per the top MAHARASHTRA ACT No. XXXVIII OF 2015 and UGC, New Delhi. Since its inception it has been serving futuristic education of 21st century to the upcoming generations. SUN ranks under ‘Top 10 Emerging Universities of India’ and it is considered to be the 1st Mega University in Northern Maharashtra. At SUN, the students are studying in the various disciplines like Humanities and Social Science, Law, Basic Sciences, Engineering and Technology and Management Sciences at UG, PG and Doctorate levels.
Nashik is the city known to the world as the city of pilgrimage with historical background and mythological heritage of ancient Hindu culture. It is also place of worship for people in Maharashtra as “Southern Kashi”. The longest river of southern India, Godavari has its source from the mountain “Brahmagiri” of Sahyadri ranges standing near sacred place of Trimbakeshwar. The river has blossomed the agricultural base of Nashik district through cultivation of grapes, rice and variety of fruits. It has proximity to two other metro cities, Mumbai and Pune which are just at 200 km.
It has been well connected to these cities through network of railways and road transport by express ways. It is one of the populous city in Maharashtra next to Pune. The city is also “Yantrabhumi” along side “Mantrabhumi” with giant industries like Mahindra & Mahindra, BOSCH, Crompton Greaves, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. (HAL) and Currency & Security Press of Government of India functioning on its surface. Also, agricultural based industries are holding a good stake in the economy of the city and the state as well. Over the period, Nashik has been emerging as educational hub with two state universities and many institutions imparting technical and medical education.
